He said they use high power washers and weren't responsible if I had a pre-existing little chip on the car. He also said tons of other cars go through the wash every day and don't have damages. He then checked the security cameras and after showing me proof that the car wash damaged my car, he said there was nothing they could do. I filled out a form via email and sent him proof of the damage. Initially when speaking to Martin, the shift manager on duty, he was very nice and understanding and advised the claims process. However, despite trying to keep an open line of communication, the owner refused to take any responsibility. I understand this happens and was happy to reach out and go through the necessary process to have this resolved. Afterwards, I noticed the large paint chip. While I and a friend were going through the car wash, there was a very loud THUNK near the roof of the car. The price is about the same as other car washes in the area. I normally go to another car wash closer to my house, but saw this while running errands and stopped in. They would disregard safety concerns brought up by the customers and resume operations out of greed. In fact they would just resume it until another person gets injured. The moral of the story for this car wash is that management does not care if people get injured from a malfunction from their machines. He continued to be unprofessional while gaslighting the customers saying that they had over a hundred cars go through the car wash today okay. We get it, but the point of us asking for the manager was because this is a SAFETY concern. The manager simply ignored our safety concerns and read a script "We are not responsible for any collisions or injury as a result of our car wash." Sure. Both drivers requested for the manager to notify him of the unsafe conditions and endorsed him to stop the operation and have the engineer perform maintenance on the machinery. We were getting our car washed here per usual when there happened to be a malfunction in the system which accelerated the car behind us and cause a collision. We've been loyal customers here since 2019, but what happened today showed us that they simply do not care about the safety of their customers.
